Privacy Policy for My Notes

A transparent guide on how we protect your information. Built with a privacy-first architecture, everything you create in My Notes stays firmly under your control.

1. Introduction

Welcome to My Notes, an application developed and published by RichKYC. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

My Notes is a note-taking application that allows you to create, edit, organize, and manage notes containing text, audio recordings, images, and drawings.

Key Principle: All your notes and personal content remain on your device unless you take action to share or back them up. We do not collect, store, or upload your notes to any RichKYC server.

2. Data Collection

My Notes is designed with privacy-first architecture. We do NOT collect, store, or process any of the following:

Category Details
Note content Text, titles, descriptions, or any written content in your notes
Audio recordings Any voice memos or audio notes you create
Images Photos or pictures you capture or import into notes
Drawings Sketches, handwritten notes, or canvas drawings
Labels & tags Any organizational metadata you create (folders, categories, labels)
Personal identifiers Name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information (PII)
Location data GPS or network-based location information
Device identifiers IMEI, MAC address, Android ID, or any hardware identifiers
Usage statistics How you use the app, which features you open, or how long you use the app

In simple terms: We have no access to your notes or personal data. Everything stays on your device.

3. Data Stored & Where

All data you create in My Notes is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. This includes:

  • Text notes
  • Audio recordings (saved as local files)
  • Images and photos (saved as local files)
  • Drawings and sketches (saved as local files)
  • App settings and preferences

No data is uploaded, synced, or backed up to any cloud server or external database by RichKYC.

If you choose to manually back up your device using Android's built-in backup features (Google Drive backup), that backup is controlled entirely by Google's systems, not by RichKYC.

5. Third-Party Services

My Notes does not integrate with any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs that collect user data.

No Google Analytics
No Firebase Analytics
No Crashlytics
No AdMob/Ads
No Facebook SDK
No Mixpanel/Amplitude

Zero third-party data collection. The app contains no tracking pixels, beacons, or cookies.

If future versions introduce optional integrations (like cloud backup), they will require explicit consent, and this policy will be updated.

4. App Permissions

My Notes requests certain permissions to enable core functionality. These are requested at runtime and can be revoked at any time from device settings.

Permission When Requested How It Is Used Data Shared?
Microphone

When you tap to record an audio note To capture and save audio recordings locally No. Audio stays on your device.
Storage

Important: These permissions are used strictly for app functionality. We never use them for tracking, analytics, advertising, or any form of data collection.

6. Data Security

Since all your notes remain on your device, the security of your data depends primarily on your device's security practices. We recommend:

  • Using a secure lock screen (PIN, pattern, password, or biometric)
  • Keeping your device operating system updated
  • Installing apps only from trusted sources
  • Avoiding unauthorized physical access

My Notes does not transmit any data over the internet, so there is no risk of data interception during network transmission.

7. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. Here is how you can delete notes:

Within the app:

  • Delete individual notes → Move to Trash
  • Empty Trash → Permanently deleted

Deleted notes remain in Trash for 30 days and can be restored. After 30 days, they are automatically removed.

To delete all app data:

Go to Android Settings → Apps → My Notes → Storage → Clear Data
OR uninstall the app completely.

Note: RichKYC cannot delete your notes because we do not store them. Once deleted from your device, they cannot be recovered by us.

8. Children's Privacy

My Notes does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not request age, collect names, share data, or contain behavioral advertising.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this policy to reflect app features or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. Your Rights

Because we collect no data, rights under GDPR/CCPA are inherently satisfied. You have total right to Access, Rectification, Deletion, and Data Portability inside your device.
