Resume Builder ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is a resume creation tool that operates completely offline. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

Agreement: By downloading and using Resume Builder, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. No Data Collection – Summary

We do not collect, store, process, or share any personal data. Here is a clear summary of how data is handled:

3. No Internet Required

Resume Builder functions entirely offline. The App does not:

Because the App never connects to the internet, there is no technical possibility for your data to leave your device.

4. Local Storage Only

All resumes you create are stored exclusively in your device's local storage (internal storage or app-specific directory). This includes:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Work experience entries
  • Education history
  • Skills and certifications
  • Achievements and projects
  • Selected templates and formatting

Important information about your data:

  • ✓ We cannot retrieve, view, or share your resumes
  • ✓ Your resumes are not backed up to any cloud service
  • ✓ If you uninstall the App or clear data, all resumes are permanently deleted

You are solely responsible for your data. We recommend exporting your resume as PDF to save a copy elsewhere if needed.

5. No Permissions – Full Transparency

Resume Builder requests no dangerous permissions.

The App may request storage permission (on Android versions below 11) only to save PDF files to your Downloads folder. On Android 11 and above, scoped storage is used automatically without explicit permission.

6. No Third-Party Services

Resume Builder contains zero third-party SDKs, libraries, or services that communicate with external servers.

Specifically, the App does NOT include:

  • Analytics SDKs (Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Crash reporting SDKs (Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag, etc.)
  • Advertising SDKs (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, etc.)
  • Cloud storage SDKs (Firebase Storage, AWS, Google Drive API, etc.)
  • Social media SDKs (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn login, etc.)
  • Tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts
  • Any code that makes HTTP requests
Every line of code that handles your data runs locally on your device only.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Resume Builder does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

Because we collect no data whatsoever:

  • There is no need for verifiable parental consent
  • There is no way for us to identify a user's age
  • There are no targeted advertisements
  • There are no behavioral tracking mechanisms
The App is entirely safe for users of all ages.

8. GDPR Compliance (For European Users)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have specific rights. Because Resume Builder collects no personal data, these rights are automatically satisfied:

Under Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), Resume Builder collects no personal data. There are no data processing activities to report, no cross-border data transfers, and no automated decision-making.

11. India DPDPA

Resume Builder does not collect any digital personal data as defined under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We have no data fiduciaries, no data processors, and no data breaches to report (because there is no data to breach).

12. Data Security

While we collect no data, your device's local storage contains your resumes. To protect yourself:

  • Do not share your device
  • Use device encryption
  • Lock your device securely
  • Export PDF copies before uninstalling

Resume Builder itself has no security vulnerabilities related to data transmission because it transmits nothing.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice within the App and updating this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

14. Data Retention and Deletion

We cannot delete your data remotely because we have no access to your device. You must delete it directly from your device.

  • Any other entity

If we are legally compelled to disclose data (e.g., court order), we will disclose that we possess no user data to disclose.

Resume Builder does not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise monetize any user data – because we do not collect any.

17. Int. Data Transfers

Resume Builder does not transfer any data internationally – or anywhere else – because the App has no internet access.

18. Your Responsibilities

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for maintaining copies of your resumes outside the App
  • You are responsible for securing your device
  • We are not liable for lost resumes due to app uninstallation, device loss, factory reset, or data corruption
