This Privacy Policy explains how RichKYC collects, uses, and protects information when you use our offline, peer-to-peer file transfer App.

1. Core Principle

Share Now is explicitly designed for offline, peer-to-peer file transfer. We prioritize your privacy above all else by minimizing the data we process.

👉 Files are transferred directly between devices using Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, or local network connections. 👉 We do NOT upload, store, or access your personal files on any server.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate core features, establish secure connections, and improve app stability.

Purpose: Establish secure connections and ensure compatibility.
App Usage & Performance App usage statistics, crash logs, error reports, transfer success rates, and speed metrics.
Purpose: Improve app stability, speed, and overall user experience.

3. Required & Optional Permissions

To operate as a file transfer app, Share Now requires specific device permissions. We strictly use these permissions for local, device-to-device operations.

Camera (Optional) CAMERA Scan QR codes for faster device connection. No images/videos stored or uploaded.

Important Clarification on Location: Android requires location permissions to scan for nearby Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices. We do NOT access, track, or collect your physical GPS location.

4. What We DO NOT Collect

We want to be very clear about our strict boundaries regarding your privacy.

We may use limited third-party services such as Firebase (for analytics and crash reporting).

  • Receive anonymized, non-personal data only
  • Are bound by their own privacy policies

7. Data Storage & Retention

  • Files: Never stored on our servers.
  • Device data: Stored locally on your device.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized.

You can delete all app data instantly by uninstalling the App.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your transfers:

  • Encrypted communication where applicable
  • No cloud storage involvement

Note: While we protect your connections, no system or network transmission is completely 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region (including laws like the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023), you may request access to data, request deletion, and withdraw permissions at any time via device settings.

10. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
